A plea for the vegan business-let’s get high on hand cut grass

If mulch is all you need and grass has sufficient everything, let’s do it.

So we take down all of the plants that have grown tall with us that are not particularly our food and we put them on top of the gardens as soil amendment. We can let them dry for a few days. We can even burn them to make sure that none of the seeds will come back. Or we can do our best to separate the seeds and then we have ready grass to cover our land.

This is how I envision a future garden. Sure, the soil is somewhat better. But I want to go on top and use other materials to make only good planting soil and then let the magic happen down below.

Basic gardening and all you need is grass. My vote here however is not just to pick up grass however you can get it, my intention is to prove that hand cut grass is far far better than anything you can achieve with a weed whacker. And it is infinitely better than the damage you do with a mower.

It seems that all modern gardening is about having a good weapon. My neighbors have been using motors to cut their grass. I use water pump to invigorate my land. They stand and cut everything to death. I make sure everything is a little bit moist and everyone has a drink. There are two different philosophies. I like mine better.

But after, they use chemical fertilizers to enhance the growth of their food. I don’t. Want to use as much natural materials as possible and this usually means using any and all organic material as mulch.

The way I see this is as a man’s job. Sure, there is nothing here that says that only men can run a scythe. A woman can’t just as easily cut grass as a man. But I am opening this up as a job for the strong of heart and the powerful of frame. I’m saying this is a job for those of us who count ourselves strong. It’s for us that this job is perfect.

I envision paying people to cut grass just like this. Cut it down old school and package it up and take it with you. Me personally, I would love grass cuttings right now. I would take as much as I could get. I put them all over everything. All the gardens I’m thinking about already for next year, I would mulch them down. Everything would be covered. Nature hates to be naked.

I would use this as a basic currency for the movement. First and foremost, we have a place for people who are not afraid of doing some work. We have way to make a decent amount of money, enough to pay for a legitimate way of life and the freedom to begin again outside of an illegitimate and very unhealthy standard.
