Truly superior people

I was just counting blessings. I I remember in my working life that there were these lovely finds to be had in the morning as a reason to get out of bed. I suppose that changed depending on where my working world was. In New York it was probably an early morning diner and a New York daily News. That’s how we got the sports in those days. Here, just like everyone else, how about that first cup of coffee and a bite to eat? I don’t smoke but if you did, I suppose that first cigarette would be meaningful. Or, maybe you are of the people and then it would be that first toast of life that also happened to go in through smoke. What is there to look forward to for it?

Today I realized how blessed I was to be able to write posts for the Utopian! As a writer, one would say that it’s so much fun writing these things that you would do it for free. That is indeed something to say. In my case it’s also something to do. And I wouldn’t say that I leave from bed because I have an opportunity to write an article. I don’t ever leave from bed ever for any reason so forget about that. And it sure wouldn’t be coffee. But what there is is the opportunity for self-expression when the idea comes along. How lovely it is to have a format for one’s thoughts. And this is especially true during such times of stress and trial as we all have to face now. Not just people economically but all living things unfortunately.

Why don’t you give it a try? That’s right? How is it possible? What does it mean to be a Utopian!?

I think first of all that a real Utopian! has no hesitation or negativity towards their work. If we’re doing something, we know it’s ecologically sound, healthy for ourselves and healthy for the community. No matter what the job, at least you can have faith that you’re doing something good and that you couldn’t feel that your time wasn’t wasted. The point being you don’t have a lot of standing around and talking about how terrible it is unless something has gone completely wrong and we have somehow created a chain of command. A real Utopian understands that there is no chain of command, there is only the series of individuals agreeing to take responsibility and the enjoyment that comes along with it from being a Utopian! contributor.

What kind of material are we looking for? It’s a great question and all great questions have many answers. What are the basics? I say that we are supportive and not antagonistic to nature. We are ecologists in everything we do and if we are going to do something negative to the ecology, we have to find another way to do it. I also believe that human beings should take responsibility for themselves and because I am a real advocate of a vegan diet, eventually any idiot can grow their own beams. It’s just something to think about as we go through life. The food we put inside ourselves says a lot about us. I’m not talking about image. I’m talking about what happens to your body when you put something inside it and sometimes, how crazy you go for decades or even lifetimes because of it.

This being said, who are you? Where are you? What area of the world would you like to talk about? What area of humanity would you like to talk about? What type of material would you like to offer? Would you like to send photos and accompanying dialogue so we understand what’s going on in the photos? Are you talking about laying out your philosophical ideas so that people can hear exactly why you believe you should be held in esteem for finding a truth. And believe me, the age of philosophy was not necessarily thousands of years ago. Teaching people to even understand that having a philosophy is a worthy endeavor means a lot. Means everything in the world. You actually can’t be an individual unless you have your documents of independence. One cannot exist without another.

I know people in my life who would be wonderful Utopians!. Mothers and fathers, young people, declared single people. Wealthy people, working people, broken people and other such souls that walk the earth under our lovely economic situation. Any one of them could step up and tell us who they are.

As of today, I am going to vocally refuse all additional plastic at the market. I am also going to shop as locally as possible to source my food. I don’t want travel costs and I don’t want the garbage that comes with it.

As of today, I’m thinking my bicycle is extremely possible even in the winter. True, there is going to be some places where I have to get off and walk but basically, I’m not afraid of riding and I enjoy what it does to my day when I do it. As of today, I am a bicyclist.

As of today, I am not going to be stupid anymore. I understand that there is something broken in my brain. I see it now and I think I want to fix it. So I think what I’m going to do is start writing essays. If some of them are a little crazy, I’m sorry. But what I’m going to try to do is make sense of something that I think everyone should understand. Not just about me but about this thing that we have to do to live in the modern world and what it does to us.

I am a city dweller and I know nothing. Today me and a few friends took a place out of town with an internet connection and I’m going to try to get a garden going that might feed us. I don’t need to work from town and I think I am very interested in a quieter, cleaner and more rustic life. Hands-on, absolutely

And of course there are many other themes. Once, the most beautiful girl in the world explain to me the real rules of hitchhiking. She says that the most important thing would be to just start moving in the direction you want to go and amazingly, help will arrive along the way. Not to mention the serendipitous finds that fit together so beautifully in our philosophy.

A job so good it’s reason enough to get out of bed in the morning. Something to think about. I don’t know how people define philosophically these elements of our lives. Maybe to some people I’m just talking gibberish because you have to work. That was true. But did you have to work in exactly the place you are in or did you pick that place or have it pick you? How did you find your way and where did the money come from? You may think you understand something that I don’t, but I did what you did and I do what I do. That makes me the winner two to one.

Let us know. We need all the help we can get. The idea is of the Utopian! Must not die. It is a voice that must be heard.
