There are a lot of videos out there about people who wish to have mobile homes but don’t really have the money for fully constructed mobile homes. If we don’t understand what I’m talking about, Winnebago’s. These are these giant trucks that have kitchens and toilets and showers and beds and everything you need to have a rolling apartment. You have a big diesel engine and you can go wherever you want and park and be somewhere else. What a dream!
But there are also people who just don’t have this $100,000 budget or $200,000 budget etc. And there are people who sometimes have an unlimited budget but sometimes they just put some really cool things together. There are all kinds of things that you can do with a minivan. And like I said, there are all kinds of videos of people who take us through it step by step.
There are also videos out there telling us how to do electric car conversions. I think the price is not actually prohibitive. My Russian friends like to point out that there is a problem of infrastructure. You have to get your energy from somewhere and so they extrapolate that because there’s even nervousness on the road, we just stay with gasoline. That would be pretty much the Russian mindset. Nevertheless, people not completely infected by Russians understand that you can pull an internal combustion engine out of a car and fit, with a few modifications to the chassis, a completely functional electric motor and a storage battery with enough capacity to give you reasonable access to everything. And that’s it. What more do you need?
Now concerning the car on the neighbor’s property, I have this crazy idea in my head. It’s that boy. What if it’s just his property? I know he’s only 10 years old and this is way too young to give anyone responsibility but what if it was just his house. Would have Grandma and Grandpa just left and took all of the adults away and left a boy to sleep in the car this summer and let everyone else in the community be his grandmother and grandfather. I’m sure they could teach him everything he needs. We could have definite conversations about how the alcoholics should act around the new king. The boy King. The boy King who we do not wish to be Jeffrey from game of thrones. I mean, isn’t that what everybody wants?
I lived in a car for a while. It wasn’t bad. It was comfortable even in the backseat. You can even make a desk out of the front seat if you want. A car doesn’t actually have to go anywhere. We could just leave it exactly where it is and build around it. Well, we should move it outside of the greenhouse and maybe we could put it in a private place maybe really close to the forest but not close enough where ashes from the wood stove would cause a problem. It might be a really nice little place for a frightened little kid to be. And during the day, his job would be to make sure that the greenhouse was okay and that he made sure that the children who came to ride on the bike track understood the rules so that nobody was hurting nature or themselves.
Maybe if the kid is that strong of a bicyclist, he’s the guy that makes the run to the apothecary and back. It’s only 50k. That’s really nothing if you’re into bicycling. It’s like 90 minutes or 2 hours if you want to be lazy. Everybody tells them what they need, they antibiotics are already known, everybody is grateful for the boys service and there you goes. It’s time trialing because he does this so much. He wants to beat his personal best. The people at the apothecary know he’s coming and the entire order is packed up and ready to go into his messenger bag. There’sn’t any traffic even blocking his way because we are so well known that this is one of the coolest thing let the region has to see.
I guess we could send him to university to study further about agriculture. Who knows, maybe he is into math and the sciences and maybe this sort of upbringing makes him special amongst the local agricultural know everythings. Maybe he is even so amazing, people just let him be the big man in the community generally. I mean, if he knows everything and everybody and understands what it is to be a real man, who knows what is available in the future.
I think this is going to be one of these blogs where I decorate the interior between the paragraphs with YouTubes showing what I mean. If you’re reading these words before I do that or if I never do that, I think you understand what I’m talking about anyway.
