The vernal equinox

Hi. Welcome to the vernal equinox. It’s about right now. This is us entering into springtime. Springtime is nice. Lots of good stuff happens during the spring. Today is the spring equinox. It means this is spring.

In the Northern Hemisphere the vernal equinox falls about March 20 or 21, as the Sun crosses the celestial equator going north. What causes the seasons? In the Southern Hemisphere the equinox occurs on September 22 or 23, when the Sun moves south across the celestial equator.

What does that mean? I got into a pretty good fight today. I guess that’s springtime. I had a lot of energy and did a lot of things today really well. The cat is definitely a girl and it is March which means, yeah, pretty much first walk around the neighborhood and that’s all folks. She is kind of happy by the door and there is some chance that my neighbors would be leaving tomorrow. Be it by their own choice, which was my suggestion as a part of a joint removal project between this country and one of its neighbors, kind of guaranteeing safety if they just go away quickly. Or it could be by public choice which has various shades of what have you involved.

I had a mild intellectual debate with Quasimodo about this whole thing. It seems when they felt the nervousness, this is the soon to be exiled non-Belarusians called him and told him that it was time to perform one of his perpetual services. I pointed out that this is what was happening and that he had just received a call and that he had basically sold his soul to the devil because he got petted like a cat if you would smoke a cigarette with him or devote his life to her despite having a wife of his own. His wife apparently got in on the argument. She told me she is tired of explaining it to her husband and that pretty much jail would be the proper place for him. Or in the ground. Some people never learn. Some people never learn.

It does though same kind of strange when we are staring at literally people responsible for the destruction of the national forest and you can see clearly that they have no concept that they have committed a crime or that they can be held accountable for it. Or even that we’ve created a world where people like this actually have a chance to say a bunch of nonsense and a good enough percentage get away with it that they just keep destroying the world. It is a deep deep disconnect. It would be like, well, something violent that ruins something you really really love and then you look at what you’ve done and you can’t figure out for the life of you what the hell you were thinking of when you did it. Good morning insanity.

I think it’s a matter of appreciating melancholy. I think it’s a matter of understanding people that break your mood when you’re just trying to live with the passing of time. There is actually a human life out there. You just take the money away and there it is. You take the money away and the guiding hand away and you have life. You take away people that sit there poisoning their home and everything around it and you have life. You’re going to have a tattoo scar. Tattoos are not kosher. And that tattoo is going to be there for all of our lifetimes. No one will ever be able to eat from the land that my neighbors have occupied. But we can definitely remove the pollution and the collusion and the bullying and we might actually have a better place to live. I personally think the color scheme here absolutely rocks. Green and gray. What’s wrong with that? I love green and gray. I want everyday.

Meanwhile, we are coming up on Thursday and that’s Torah reading and then we have Friday and maybe this week we won’t have such a noisy demonstration. Maybe this week it will really, really, really be nice and sweet and quiet and calm and everybody will be really, really really happy because they can just take big gulps of fresh air whenever they want and there will never be another moment of desecration that we will have to endure ever again.
